I must admit I was very skeptical when volunteered for representing the Armed Forces Retirement Home in the Feds Feed Families Food Drive back in June. Thanks to an extremely supportive staff and the generosity of all those who contributed the program my skepticism was quickly washed away.
We were able to collect 13,883 pounds of food throughout the food drive. This represents the caring, thoughtfulness and willingness of all those who participated to help those who are truly in need in the Metropolitan DC area through the Capital Area Food Bank. I want to thank all those who participated, not only in The Armed Forces Retirement Home, but all the men and women from all the other agencies across the nation. I am very proud and honored to have been part of this great program. Great Job!
