Jack, the driver from the Hawaii Food Bank had a couple of loads of food destined for the Hawaii Food Bank as a result of DISA PAC’s participation in the White House United We Serve Food Drive.
Ms. Annie Cadirao, Volunteer Facilitator, Hawaii Food Bank advised our project lead, MSgt Jason P. Salonis, that their official scale had the weight of our donated goods at 2,108 pounds. MSgt Salonis had been using his small bathroom scale to weigh goods over the two-month period of the food drive for the Defense Information Systems Agency Pacific (DISA PAC).
MSgt. Salonis thanked all of the DISA Ohana (family) for their support, “The commitment from all divisions was second to none as we collected over a ton – an astounding 2,108 pounds of non-perishable goods in support of the Whitehouse United We Serve Food drive. Despite it being a tough competition with various divisions holding the lead for total amount of goods collected, please congratulate the EMSS folks for donating the most LBS of goods with 328.2LBS!!! A huge thank you to everyone for your support!”
