On July 15, 2011, the Department of Labor’s (DOL) Human Resources Center (HRC) made donating even easier – and fun – for its employees! The HRC obtained a van and provided round trip transportation to a local supermarket for employees who usually commute on the metro or walk to work. This was a great benefit for those who wouldn’t be able to donate as much otherwise! The supermarket sweep for the Feds Feed Families campaign resulted in a total purchase of 424 pounds in ONE HOUR of shopping!
